Public and private Transfers in Krakow and Czestochowa
Czestochowa- our destination from Krakow
Firstly, I would like to present you my travel report from Poland. I choose summertime not without a reason. I wanted my whole family to walk from Krakow to Czestochowa, to the icon of the Virgin Mary housed at the Jasna Góra Monastery. Every summer thousands of Polish people take a pilgrimages from seriously ALL the cities in Poland. Some of them travel just form one weekend, one week ( like we did) or even two weeks and more! Some of them travel across the country, from one edge of the country to another. I choose Krakow on purpose, to show my family beautiful medieval city and a place where Holocaust made thousands of people die. Let me tell you which transfers in Krakow I find positive and worth mentioning and how to travel around the city. We arrived by plane to Krakow- Balice airport. It’s located in the suburbs, and we have some options to consider.The choice is, of course, yours.
Public Bus- goes every 40 minutes, number 208 and 218. The ticket costs around 5 polish zlote, which is a bit more than 1 euro. The problem is the ticket maschine, which accepts only polish money and coins only. The same with the driver. We saw people having only 100 polish zlote cash and couldn’t buy the ticket. And it’s problematic that you have to wait for the bus, especially if you come late in the night. The bus goes around 50 minutes.
Train- goes more or less every two hours. The travel is faster than the public bus, takes around 30 minutes. The cost is around 2 euros. You have to walk a little from the airport to train station.

We choose private transfers in Krakow and it was really satisfying move.
taxi- another option between transfers in Krakow. It costs around 30 euros and takes around 30 minutes to the city center. I guess it may be the problem in case you don’t have a polish money with you. The drivers also doesn’t necessary speak English very well. I guess it’s not a bad option, but you also risk that people before you will take all of the taxis.
private buses- in my opinion the winner. I decided to book one car which took us from the airport to our hotel. I took him 20 minutes, the driver helped us with our backpacks and luggages. We payed in advance, so we were not worried he won’t have enough money to give us the rest. For me it’s the best option if you consider transfers in Krakow. The cost for the service was 30 euros, which was less than 10 euros for us 4 and we traveled in comfortable, luxury car. And we get a discount for a trip with their company, which we used after pilgrimage to get to Auschwitz- Birkenau Concentration camps. I was really satisfied with choosing Krakow Direct company and I recommend it to everyone.
